Rhapsody is a feeling of intense pleasure, happiness, or joy… An effusively enthusiastic or ecstatic expression of feeling.
All the mentioned adjectives are expressed on the design and shape of this bed. The Rhapsody Bed expresses the feeling of Comfort, Luxury and Elegance, combining noble materials such as Ebony Makassar, Brass and Velvet in just one piece. The headboard with quilted elements, combined with Ebony Macassar details in the middle and sides, is enriched with the complex handcrafted operation of inserting brass frames between these elements.
Beyond the use of noble raw materials and the exclusive design, at ORP HOUSE we always strive to add extra value to the furniture we manufacture.
Combination exquisite materials in such a bold way, requires ancestral skills and techniques mastered by experienced Portuguese artisans and is the result of a long-lasting tradition, passed down from generation to generation.

The high-quality craftsmanship required to obtain round shaped furniture. Creating high-end round shaped furniture requires a high level of craftsmanship and detail. Every detail must be absolute perfect to ensure a seamless result. Using special molds, subjected to heat, the wood is curved perfectly, in order to obtain these unique pieces with round shape. As a result, a work of mastery and perfection, which once completed will allow the surface finishing process to begin.
SUSTAINABILITY IN LUXURY FURNITURE
One of OPR HOUSE’s biggest concerns is sustainability. Creating luxury furniture with exclusive and selected products, as well as the special characteristics contained in its parts, allows the creation of pieces that can last a lifetime. The use of certified materials in production and the primacy of high quality, makes for long-lasting results, with less need to replace parts, thus avoiding waste, and at the same time, providing peace of mind along with a certain feeling of consumer safety.
EBONY MACASSAR VENEER
The use of veneer, a very thin layer of wood, allows to create exquisite pieces from exotic woods, without threatening the tree in itself. We can see the Ebony Macassar veneer in the Rhapsody bedroom pieces, with its extraordinary finishes that, at the same time, allow for the preservation of these exotic trees.
BRASS
Also visible in this opulent furniture is the use of brass, that, in addition to its nobility, is characterized by its durability and the possibility of multiple recycling.
VELVET
The use of velvet in the Rhapsody bedroom, made from organic fibers, contributes to a sustainable balance, and has an enormous durability, combined with elegance and refinement.
